2014-18: Photos S.Traversini, 2010

Story and texts from Stéphane Traversini

We are told that in the trenches men wer more in fear of  oblivion than of death.

Two thousands forteeneighteen

These pictures collect the print of these soldiers ; they also record the duration, the exposure in the sun of their suburb or their village the had to leave. They did not desert, but the conutries are eserted. I am sure of this : their presence is real.

They do not give immediately their glance. After some moments for framing, these friends for a short time keep you in an interchange.

This glance, before affright, which already observes.
